Hi thanks for looking
my sabre 27 mk1 has a dv10 in her just wondering whats the top cruising speed is should achieve .
i seem to only get 2.5 knts moderate seas light winds ?
also i went to start her the other week and the motor was a pig to start.
finally fired up . runs fine then died down to tick over on full throttle .
Topped up diesel seemed to run fine.
Took her out for a blast sailed for an hour brought her home under engine and she died back to tick over in port entrance. manged to limp home. Was scary
shes ln spain so going out with new fuel filters and will check for diesel bug.
just thinking is there any not so obvious issues i should check ?

There is an article in the tech manual about an incident where the breather pipe was blocked by an insect lavae. It sounds like fuel starvation from your description. Quck test would be to unscrew filler cap on tank so she can breather, if it runs fine, looks like you have found the problem. Failing that blocked filters might be a place to invèstigate.

changed fuel filter . still running rough.
I thought best check the pre filter water separator. bingo full of black sludge. i had only checked it 3 mths previously.
Lesson learnt Dont take things for granted
