Re: Intro/new member

Not too shabby but going on your 100 odd miles for £600 spuds Samphire was talking about North West UK. NW to South East coast is three times the distance. What sort of jet wash do you need for boats as a rule? Asking as you mentioned your clean. Through my work I’ve got three! Last one (petrol on a...

Re: Intro/new member

That's all good advice and you're right - adds up! 1~5 can be avoided buying locally to where I plan to use it from. From another post on PBO forum there's someone looking for a skipper to sail an unknown condition Snapdragon around Lands End in the winter, many pages of folk telling him bad idea an...

F02C4098-8E4F-44F8-A326-457E50AAF926.jpeg Quick test here to see how photos work. Add file>camera roll etc>choose photo and size (large)>upload. Seems easy enough. Sure FB has bigger buttons or something. My issue is the data mining going on in the background. Not that my dull life is worth mining ...

Re: Intro/new member

Did think to go back and have that chat but offer would be so low I think he’d prob keep the boat :D No one wants to be the owner of a boat while it has a new engine, so with that in mind I’ll wait it out. Great idea to have an update of the for sale section here. Maybe a pinned Wanted thread might ...

Re: Intro/new member

Yes I think there’s a wait! As far as I know the lump is in good if not great condition with a lot of service history - it’s been a known boat. I think it’s just the age of it and associated spares. As above you could say that for all engines really. Fliss was for sale at Titchmarsh for ages, recent...

Re: Intro/new member

My friend keeps his boat near Wrabness, there might be a mooring for me it sounds like. I did see the ad you’ve linked to and recently spoke with the owner, nice fella. The boat is probably about what I’m going for but the older engine although it looks in really good order I’ve got concerns about. C...

Re: Membership applications

Seems a shame that this being the originator forum for Sabres should be outdone by Faceache, which I generally despise but as said is useful. I wonder if there was a way to merge this forum with a FB front end. Interesting about Marine Enterprises and lumps, with a six month warranty and fitted duri...

Intro/new member

Hi all Thought I’d make a short post to say hello. I’ve got use of a small boat on the Stour but am looking for my own, have settled on a bilge keeled Sabre. I would have time for fettling but it would need to be largely sorted. If anyone is looking to sell or knows someone please feel free to pass ...
