If you go to archives post and trawl through them you find more information l replaced my bottom bearing with delrin a few years back now.

Skeg Bearing

Has anyone used Delrin for the bottom bearing in the skeg instead of tufnol? I fancy giving it a go as I'm on a mud berth in the river Itchen. Just to try it out.

Blew out my sail comming back from Plymouth to Solent brought a ready made sail from Seateach couple of summers ago
Luff 9.45m
Leach 8.84m
Foot 4.57m area 20.10m2 l belive it works out to 216 sq ft fabric wt 252gsm
That was for a mk2 sabre it is a bit small but works fine

There is a article in the association handbook on rudder play it does mean the boat has to be out of the water I am sure there is no other way. l have the same problem at the moment, to be resolved this winter l hope..
