My new-to-me 1972 Sabre displays the well-documented starboard bulkhead 'disengagement' due to pulling of the cap shroud chainplate. The handbook recommended repair (the brace between the two bulkheads) is in hand, but I wondered if I can hope that (if I temporarily slacken off the cap shroud prior the installing the brace) the deck might return to its original position (or somewhere close; we're talking millimetres here anyway)?
