Quick one...how tall is the mast on my boat? (Mk2 fin keel, original Kempsafe rig)

Cheers!

A word of warning.

Check with tape measure if it realy matters, slight variation is not unknown!

Hi

There are 3 sabres within 30 yards here at Tollesbury and they all have different height masts! I agree with Paul, measure with a tape!

It was to do with a cruising chute which I'd been offered, but with an 11.4m luff I think it will be just too big. I probably want something where the leach can be made "tight" from masthead to stem, so I can carry it high if required, or slacken it off a bit to get a bit of shape in it by the time it's clear of the pulpit.

A guesstimate of the height of the tabernacle above the deck, and the sheerline, and a quick bit of schoolboy pythagoras meant that I needed 5.88m between the stem and the mast foot to make that work, and even without the tape measure I know that's unlikely!
